Magnifica Italia

Magnifica Italia

Italy was the place is was the most excited for,and it turned out more wonderful than I imagined .Among the Europe trip Italy was the best part.

The reason I was so excited for Italy was due to a game assasin’s creed,it is a game in which play a assassin ezio auiditore de Firenze and is based in venice, Firenze and roma

So I had already had a virtual tour of Italy on my PC.
Anyways,Our first stop was the amazing city of Firenze i.e Florence

Firenze is a more beautiful name than Florence. A beautiful city ,it was exactly as I imagined.First we went to a hill top where we had the PERFECT view of Firenze.

Then we had a city tour .I relived  my game.I am a history buff so the experience was amazing.

Fun fact-Firenze is one of the oldest cities in Europe

It is also the home of the famous statue of david the thinker by Auguste rodin and for a brief time it was the home of the legendary genius Leonardo Da Vinci

Italian breakfast is very weird …don’t believe me?
After a day spent in Florence we headed to venice

A unique place commonly shown in Movies.
It is basically a Collection of 118 islands connect by bridges.Narrow streams  with gondolas

My experience with Italian people was in Venice.
They are much better than the french ,very happy and nice people and they don’t stare at you if you look different, which I saw a lot in france.

Italian itself is a very strong and expressive language.
In Italy I felt as if  I was back home. One of the main reason for that was the Heat,it was as hot as in india.I broke of from the group and roamed venice on my own.It was a unforgettable experience

Some people take 3-4 days for venice, but believe me one is enough..If time permits,a gondola ride is woth it..

The Capital of Italy famous for It’s architecture and rich history as you all know involving the great Rulers of rome including Julius Caesar

The must go places are The Colloseum.St.Peter’s Basilica and obviously the Vatican City
Do remember to bring a local guide they can tell you so much history and local folktales that you will be baffled

After a enriching City tour of Roma we went to the smallest city in the world Vatican City

Vatican City

The smallest City in the world and the center of Christianity.

It houses the largest church in the world St.peter’s Church.

Fun fact-It was the church I had ever gone too and it was the largest in the world.not that I have anything against churches,it’s just there are not a lot of them in India.

And believe me it is deceptively HUGE

The line that day was huge and it took us 2 hours to get in the there .
It was worth it.made over 300 years the church is beautiful with intricate carvings and sculpture ,including this famous one by  Michael Angelo

Fun fact-This bronze Arch was made by the melted nails of The Colosseum

Our last stop was a 3 hour stop in Pisa and it is enough. The oly thing there is the Miracle Square which has the famous leaning tower of pisa

After this our official tour all the rest of the group headed back to india and we headed to My Father’s sister,my lovely aunt in NORWAY

OH,how can finish without mentioning the famous Italian pizza..Oh it was very uniqe and delicious but a little bland.
