Norway

 NORWAY

Words fail do describe such a amazing country.

Although most of the reason it was amazing was because of our relatives.
My uncle being a avid foodie himself made sure I ate the best food possible.

Fun fact- All of you might have heard stories about Vikings the powerful sailors and trolls. Guess what they all originated from norway.

Germay ruled over Norway during ww2 and some remnants can still be found

So we didn’t had to worry what we were going to eat, places to see and stuff like that.

Fun fact-Norway had recently found oil deposits near the coastal areas and is considered of off the better of counties along with Germany in Europe.
As a result of which they don’t market it as a tourist place.Infact they actually deter tourists.

Norway is quite a costly place at par if not more than France.

The Native language Norsk which I may add is a very difficult language.

Anyways, after a 1 day rest.we headed to the place whose beauty I cannot describe.

West Norway

All of Norway is beautiful ,but the west has picturesque locations and beautiful valleys.

We were very lucky as we had come in one of the 3-4 months when Norway was not covered with snow. We headed out to west Norway a journey encompassing unreal mountains and clear waters.
Having fun listening to music and goofing around.

I didn’t have many interactions with the locals but they are as friendly if not more than italians

We took supplies from a local market and we stayed at wooden cottages .

In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast made together.I literally could not stop eating mostly because my uncle didn’t let me. I gained 4 kilograms in 6 days in Norway.
After a journey of 4 days through west Norway we came back to the capital Oslo. And my cousins, they gave as a wonderful guided tour Of the capital.
Places to see are the Sky jump, the opera house and the Vigeland park, there is something special about this park…I wont spoil the surprise.you gotta see it for youself.

The best Pizza I ever ate was in Norway..THE BEST

Alas, the wonderful Norway came to an end.I didn’t want it to but it did…I want to thank my cousins and my uncle and aunt for making this a trip I will remember throughout my life.

We said our goodbies and we headed home

Magnifica Italia

Magnifica Italia

Italy was the place is was the most excited for,and it turned out more wonderful than I imagined .Among the Europe trip Italy was the best part.

The reason I was so excited for Italy was due to a game assasin’s creed,it is a game in which play a assassin ezio auiditore de Firenze and is based in venice, Firenze and roma

So I had already had a virtual tour of Italy on my PC.
Anyways,Our first stop was the amazing city of Firenze i.e Florence

Firenze

Firenze is a more beautiful name than Florence. A beautiful city ,it was exactly as I imagined.First we went to a hill top where we had the PERFECT view of Firenze.

Then we had a city tour .I relived  my game.I am a history buff so the experience was amazing.

Fun fact-Firenze is one of the oldest cities in Europe

It is also the home of the famous statue of david the thinker by Auguste rodin and for a brief time it was the home of the legendary genius Leonardo Da Vinci

Italian breakfast is very weird …don’t believe me?

After a day spent in Florence we headed to venice

VENEZIA

A unique place commonly shown in Movies.
It is basically a Collection of 118 islands connect by bridges.Narrow streams  with gondolas

My experience with Italian people was in Venice.
They are much better than the french ,very happy and nice people and they don’t stare at you if you look different, which I saw a lot in france.

Italian itself is a very strong and expressive language.
In Italy I felt as if  I was back home. One of the main reason for that was the Heat,it was as hot as in india.I broke of from the group and roamed venice on my own.It was a unforgettable experience

Some people take 3-4 days for venice, but believe me one is enough..If time permits,a gondola ride is woth it..

ROMA

The Capital of Italy famous for It’s architecture and rich history as you all know involving the great Rulers of rome including Julius Caesar

The must go places are The Colloseum.St.Peter’s Basilica and obviously the Vatican City
Do remember to bring a local guide they can tell you so much history and local folktales that you will be baffled

After a enriching City tour of Roma we went to the smallest city in the world Vatican City

Vatican City

The smallest City in the world and the center of Christianity.

It houses the largest church in the world St.peter’s Church.

Fun fact-It was the church I had ever gone too and it was the largest in the world.not that I have anything against churches,it’s just there are not a lot of them in India.

And believe me it is deceptively HUGE

The line that day was huge and it took us 2 hours to get in the there .
It was worth it.made over 300 years the church is beautiful with intricate carvings and sculpture ,including this famous one by  Michael Angelo

Fun fact-This bronze Arch was made by the melted nails of The Colosseum

Pisa
Our last stop was a 3 hour stop in Pisa and it is enough. The oly thing there is the Miracle Square which has the famous leaning tower of pisa

After this our official tour all the rest of the group headed back to india and we headed to My Father’s sister,my lovely aunt in NORWAY

OH,how can finish without mentioning the famous Italian pizza..Oh it was very uniqe and delicious but a little bland.

Switzerland

Switzerland

A commercialized and a beautiful Location. It is a tiny country with no definite army and is considered one of the safest places in the world.

Fun fact-Every person upon reaching 18 man or woman is required to undergo compulsary military and tactical training,After 20 years the person again undergoes training for 6 months in the latest weapons. So in essence the swiss citizens are it's Army

It is a popular honeymoon destination and for shooting of Bollywood songs.

5 things Switzerland is famous for

1.Swiss Cheese

2.Swiss Milk Chocolate

3.Swiss watches

4.Swiss knives

5.Cuckoo clocks

We stayed in Switzerland for 2 days and 3 nights

Our hotel was at a very picturesque location. And it was filled with Indians, and the hotels know how to capitalize that by serving indian dishes.

There are a many places to visit in Switzerland
Places like Mount Titlis where there is a adrenaline pumping snow slide game.

Switzerland is a place to experience ,not read .The swiss people are very nice and courteous. They smile at strangers, most of the swiss trains are half empty because  there are not enough people.i wish we had this problem,Trains are the best method to travel Switzerland.

Natural beauty is better in Kashmir and Norway .

But as their main source of income is tourism they have commercialized it well
Leucerne is a beautiful place to go to.Natural beauty is amazing at interlaken.

Fun fact –The shooting of Dilwale dulhania le jainge was in leucerne

Well that’s about it for Switzerland. As I said ,It is a Place to experience not read.

After this is the last part of our official Euro trip,The Maginificento Italiano .Please comment if you like my blog.
